Swindon Open Studios 2016 Review

Sorry I've been silent lately, I guess it's a combination of fatigue from the Swindon Open Studios weekends and getting ready for my upcoming solo exhibition. The two SOS weekends went really well, we had around 170 visitors. I exhibited with some really talented artists in the Swindon Central Library and met lots of interesting people. I didn't take many photos this year unfortunately, too busy chatting and making art I guess.

If you were not able to come to the SOS this year, the group exhibition will be up till the end of September during normal library hours.
Here are some pieces I worked on while at the library, they are still works in progress.
I will be having a solo exhibition at the library in November, more information to come at a later date.
Bye for now.

Works in Progress and Getting Ready for Swindon Open Studios

With Swindon Open Studios slowly approaching, I've been doing some work to get ready. Here are three pieces I've been working on recently as the summer holidays have begun.  Each one at very different stages of being "finished".
I will be away for most of the summer with my husband and son visiting family and friends in New York and New Jersey as well as Mickey and Minnie in Disney World. Then I will be back and will be busy getting ready for this year's Swindon Open Studios. I will write more about that in the coming weeks.
In order to advertise the SOS, some artists will be displaying their artwork in Swindon's Old Town businesses. I was lucky enough to have two of my mixed media pieces selected by Jessie of Glamo Rose Cakes to go in her shop window.
If you are in Old Town and have a sweet tooth, I highly recommend going there.
 Bye for now.

Work In My Sketchbook...

Sorry I have been quiet...
Here is some work I did in my sketchbook back in April which I meant to post but never got around to it. They are all about 9"x 12" using mixed media-collage, acrylic paints, sprays, pencils, pens, stamps and stencils. I may change some of these or leave them as they are.
Bye for now.

Stalls and exhibits

and of course birthday cake.
I will also have a stall selling my artwork. So if you are in the neighbourhood, do stop by. Hopefully the weather will hold out. We've had really beautiful summer weather for the past three days so hopefully it will stay for a bit longer.
