Because I like a Challenge and Like to Stay Inspired...

Hello,
I'm always looking at different ways I can stay inspired and motivated to do art. I've followed Rae Missigman for awhile and really enjoy watching her tutorials as well as seeing her mixed media art. Recently on her blog she has started an Art Marks-30 Day Challenge; for each of the 30 days she's listed a prompt which will help get you started. You can interpret any way you like. I decided I would take up this challenge and will be posting my work either on my blog or on my Instagram page. It will definitely be a challenge to try and fit it in for those 30 days, but will give it my best shot. I will be using a Canson Mix Media sketchbook and setting a timer for 15 minutes each time. I look forward to this and hopefully I can inspire others in the process. Please feel free to take up the challenge and hopefully you might enjoy it too. For more information please refer to her blog, I've included a link above.
Bye for now.

My 10 Favourite Blogposts of 2016

Hello,
Happy New Year to you all, I hope you were able to enjoy the holidays and that they were filled with lots of cheer and laughter. I spent a lot of it with family and friends in the UK enjoying good food, drinks, carol singing and catching up on some shows on TV as well as travelling into London to see Rogue One. I've also been organising the studio a bit so I can start painting again and will post some photos soon. For my first blogpost in 2017, I thought I would review some of the things I got up to in 2016.
Here are my favourites:

This Sunday at The Swindon Central Library...

Hello,
My solo exhibition at the Swindon Central Library in still up and it will be there till Saturday, 26th November. So far the response has been very positive, which I am very happy and grateful to those who came and left comments in my book. I wanted to remind you all that this Sunday, 20 November, I will be at the Swindon Central Library from 11-3pm. I'll be available to answer questions about the work, my process and show some work in progress. If you have not been able to make it and will be in the Swindon area, please stop down and say hello. Here are some photos of the exhibit for those not able to attend or travel to the UK.

Solo Exhibition

Hello,
My exhibition is hanging in the library now. I realised it would take a while to hang if I did it tomorrow after work (on my own) so enlisted my loving and supportive husband to help me hang the work. I'm so glad I did-4 hours later the job was done! He also gets high marks as he's been sick all week and this took a lot out of him. So thanks again!!!

Laying everything down and plotting where things should go.

Hubby putting in the second nail.

The show will be up till the end of November, so if you can come that would be great.
I will also be present for one of the Sundays, here's the invitation-

Here is a link to the library for more information.
